It's Day 4! I hope you have been enjoying all the projects showcased in the hop so far!
If you just came from Pam's blog then your on the right track for the Artisan Entry Blog Hop, if not you can start the hop right here and it will take you through all the blogs posting non-winning entries for 2013. Today I'm showing you the first of three scrapbook pages I created. I will be honest with you and tell you that these did not come easy. I actually entered papercrafting with scrapbooking and then moved into stamping when I was introduced to Stampin' Up!. That being said, it's been a while since I have actually sat down and created a page. Additionally, scrapbooking has changed a lot since I started. It was unheard of to only have one picture on a page and everything had to be a two-page spread. Anyways, here is my page.
The colors are Daffodil Delight, Not Quite Navy, Cherry Cobbler, and Whisper White. The only stamping was the titile and I used Morning Post to do that. The DSP is Parkers Print. This is a picture of my dad in downtown Colorado Springs. He has since passed away due to cancer, and this was the last trip he went on. Growing up he and my mom always took us kids on road trips and I wanted to do the same for him before he passed away. The journalling says something like the story I just told, just a little less wordy.
